For Educators (including FCC providers and administrators who are eligible for CARES 3.0), please follow these steps:

• Review the CARES 3.0 Eligibility Requirements to make sure you qualify.
• Update your CA ECE Workforce Registry profile and confirm that personal, employment, and other information are up to date (this includes hours worked, wage information, self-reported education levels and certifications/permits).
• Complete the CARES 3.0 Application form within the CA ECE Workforce Registry.

• You should receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of submitting your application.

• Submit or review any supplemental forms by going to “My Documents” in your registry account.

• W-9s are needed for new applicants or those with changes.
• Transcripts/Permits/CDAs are not required however these verified documents support a higher stipend amount.

• Wait for the application to be reviewed and approved. You can view your application status in “My Stipends“.
• Receive your stipend payment via mail to the mailing address listed on your CA ECE Workforce Registry Profile

For Program Administrators/FCC Owners:

• Confirm that at least one administrative staff member has employer admin access on the registry.

• Review the Staff Report (accessible via your employer admin access on the registry account) to confirm what information has been verified for each educator in your program (degree, ECE units, permit level, etc.)
• Verify staff employment information and update if needed, including:

• Title/position
• Wage information
• Hours worked per week.
• Employment dates
